MBS deliver the Thermalite solution
MBS recently supplied over 12,000 Thermalite blocks to a regular contractor customer for a major new development site in Kent.
MBS have an extensive range of blocks including Cat II Aggregate Blocks, Thermalite Aircrete, Concrete Commons and Ytong Blocks. The product we advised for use for this specific project are Thermalite blocks which have been specifically developed for structural applications where loading conditions require greater strength.
Despite their lightweight nature, they are commonly used for building internal or external walls, foundations or block and beam floors.
Fire and moisture resistant. High thermal performance.
This development demanded an easy-to-install but robust option and Thermalite are suitable for projects such as flats of three storeys and above, offices, supermarkets and retail parks.
They offer excellent thermal insulation properties which makes U-value targets easier to achieve and can help reduce CO2 emissions during a building’s life.
Aerated blocks have good acoustic insulation properties, which can help to reduce noise pollution both inside and outside the building.
