Common Types of Roofing Sheets: Metal (Steel or Aluminium):

Bitumen: Best for outbuildings like sheds and garages, bitumen sheets are highly waterproof and affordable. They typically last 15–25 years and are valued for being lightweight and easy for DIYers to handle.
Polycarbonate & PVC:
Ideal for structures requiring natural light, such as conservatories, carports, or greenhouses. Polycarbonate is exceptionally impact-resistant (up to 200x stronger than glass) and offers UV protection.
