- Acoustic plasterboards are resistant to sound due to the extra weight and heavier make-up of the board.Designed for use in walls and ceilings where greater levels of sound insulation are required. Sound resistant plasterboards are often used as part of a full partitioning system along with different types of insulation when further noise reduction is needed.Also known as Soundbloc/Sound Panel/DBCheck.Blue face on one side to identify sheets correctly. Sheets have a thermal conductivity 0.24W/mK.This type of sound resistant plasterboard is available in other sizes.
