An emulsion-bound polyester matting, this fibreglass chopped strand matt is 950mm wide and weighs 450 grams per square meter. It works exceptionally well when you need a more open weave but require great strength, representing a compelling solution to hand lay-up high glass content and thin laminates balanced with good mechanical properties.

Fibreglass Chopped Strand Mat is a key reinforcing material used to create Glass Reinforced Plastic (GRP), commonly known as fibreglass. The 450g weight is a standard thickness that provides a good balance of strength and ease of resin saturation for many applications such as a dimensionally stable mould shell in mould making and fabrication of construction components including architectural features and boat repairs.
