Large rectangular Gabion basket kit made from 3mm steel welded wire mesh. The steel weld mesh is Galfan coated which is a type of galvanisation that keeps the mesh from rusting. Typical Gabion mesh applications are to create stone / rock retaining walls that are decorative and stable. Our Galfan Gabion baskets are manufactured from 10 gauge steel wire and supplied with a 76mm square mesh aperture (approx 3") which are welded at each intersection.

The GALFAN treatment is an anti-rust / corrosion treatment similar to galvanisation and is a zinc / aluminium alloy coating applied to the steel mesh that protects the steel wire for a long time. The Gabion  mesh baskets are shipped flat-packed and come with the 6 pre-clipped weld mesh sides to form the rectangular mesh gabion basket - additional wire mesh clips for the corner hinge joiners and lacing wire for joining the edges and bracing the cages to limit bulging. Pliers can be used to fix these mesh clips, but if you order 4 baskets, we supply a clipping tool free of charge. Once filled with the required stone / rocks, Gabion baskets can be stacked on top of each other to provide a stable and decorative retaining wall in a garden or landscaped location.
