New untreated Oak Railway Sleeper
Strong and very durable with numerous uses in and around the garden, for boundaries, edgings, planters, raised beds and borders, decks, terraces and walkways
Top quality but not seasoned and easier to work with but can have split ends which is a natural characteristic of oak. They often feature two or three square edges as the other edges can have chamfers where the outer sapwood has been removed
The oak is fresh sawn and the colour is golden once cut, but after several months of external seasoning the colour matures to a silver grey.
